On sub penny stocks and lower priced stocks yes, I usually create lists of stocks from $2-$10 for those kinds of shorts. AVXL can get to the point where it's less expensive, in regards to what the brokers want you to have against the position in cash, and be a candidate for more retail shorting. I'd say once it's over $1.50 to $2.50 it'll have gone up so much and people will look for the drop back and short it. But the really cheap stocks, yes, I know brokers have a "fail safe" for those that do have the money to short subs.

Who knows, maybe AVXL becomes a monster mover and runs to $8 w/ more news they've been holding back. Anything can happen.
