Re: "Regarding a reverse split (assuming the reason for it would be to list the stock on a major exchange) wouldn't it be best if the price were around 60 cents (or more) per share before doing a reverse split, like 10:1? Or even $1.20 a share (or more) for a 5:1?"

Price is largely irrelevant.

Re: "Isn't it way too early to be talking about this? Wouldn't a reverse split at this point cause the stock to tank given no revenue? Wouldn't a track record of revenue be needed to prevent the stock from tanking after the reverse split? In other words, it seems to me that if a reverse split happens now, say 40:1, to get a share price to 5.20, the stock would just tank and not be listed anyway as there is nothing to hold the share price up. Therefore, I don't see this happening for some time. Right thinking? "

Have to agree.

Re: "Regarding more dilution, that is always a specter given the number of shares authorized to be sold. If there were to reduce the number of shares authorized to be sold, would that indicate their confidence for revenue? What I mean is, if 450 million shares are circulated, and another 300 million are authorized, if they were to reduce or eliminate those additional shares that would that be a strong indicator of confidence for revenue because they don't need to raise funds? "

Ha! Never will happen but ... I doubt it.

Re: "Finally, could the large number of shares authorized be considered a poison pill to defend against a takeover?"

My answer to this is too long to express ... Maybe someone else could answer succinctly.

But, in short, not necessarily.
