They gave him the 5k a month, yes...he wore a Titleist visor for years but it was basically a charity move by Wally Uhelein because of who he was.
They took that "natural golf" concept from him and started teaching it, and later signed him on and used him to sell lessons, clubs, training equip, etc. Moe wasnt the only one who ever used a single plane swing, but he perfected it and was the best at it.
I used parts of it myself when I was young, never heard of him at the time, just was doing what made sense to me at the time making the left arm an extension of the shaft from both views. I never got the grip to match it right though till I read/saw it recently.
At some point in my mid 20's a teaching pro told me I was too far from the ball and my arms should hang down and so I tried to do that for the next 35 years.
I swear this is the easiest swing to execute and if I don't move on it, it always goes right where I'm looking. So the grip was the key for me.
