Rogue: URANIUM CRAZE?

There could be 10-20 baggers in FOOD too, but that doesn't make the industry a good investment.

As far as I'm concerned, the whole Uranium craze was/still is WAY overblown - despite my good buddy (SWB)'s objections.

It will take forever before there is increased need for Uranium based upon nuclear power plants. I realize it is in "short supply" even based on what we are using, but like anything else, short supply (houses) can become LONG SUPPLY (bubble popping glut) in a hurry. In any event, it will be a long time before it is needed in great quantities for power plants.

I realize not all Uranium stocks in my Uranium portfolio are created equal, however... The vast majority of them are .TO or .V. Those six that are .OB or NAS or AMEX are -23% (average). The entire group is "only" -16%. So, obviously, anyone being able to pick the winners among a bunch of Canadian juniors - none of which even remotely make money - is probably overwhelmingly more lucky than good.

Of course, I'm no expert on Uranium and don't claim to be. I just have an opinion. When I started this Uranium portfolio on March 30th, I wrote the post below. But, when something is +427% in less than two years, it is BUBBLEICIOUS for shorting IMO.

My Uranium portfolio is now up +427% (since May of 2004). It is just out of control. It was "just" +360% 10 days ago!

I think I mentioned this to you before, but I just don't understand why Uranium is going wild. Supposedly, there is a shortfall. Well, why wasn't there a shortfall a year ago, two years ago, four years ago??? How many new nuclear plants have been built in the last 18 months or will be built in the next 18 months??? I wish there was an ETF for Uranium. I'd short the crap out of it!
