I have personally dealt with consumer complaints like those posted on their site. Complaints need to be treated like the divorce stories you hear from one side of the argument.... very little is what it appears to be.
Good Beta testers are the key, however trying to find them is rough. Everyone wants to be a beta tester, but few are qualified. I look at the Android release as the beta tester release myself.
Yes they have stumbled along the way to be sure. Like I stated, I believe they have learned some valuable lessons and are doing what it takes to make sure they don't reoccur with the iOS release.
I have rarely been involved with a complicated new software product that was released on time and was anywhere near bug free. Those that have never wrote code under an announced time line will probably never understand, including the leadership of ient apparently.
