UND, I'm not going to flame you. I just wanted to bring up an interesting point. The writer of that post, Stephen Sprunk, claims to have a customer that has been using an Itanium cluster for a year already. However, HP was the only vendor selling Itanium 2 servers last year. Other vendors didn't catch on until the January time frame. Unless Stephen works for HP, his claim doesn't seem to fit. Note that he speaks of Opteron as the replacement, but so far HP has not announced any Opteron systems. FWIW.
