Since it's a slow day on the market, I thought I'd take the time to do some researching and reading. I wanted to share some of the better articles I've come across.

The first of these was posted today. The title reads, "MSU developing robotic arm capable of doing breast exams". Here's the link to the article in it's entirety: http://newsroom.msu.edu/site/indexer/2437/content.htm

The one paragraph I find to be an IVHG opportunity is this one: “The time delay for signal transmission can cause potential problems in operation of the device, but we are developing control strategies to deal with this problem adequately,” he said. “Plus, we have built safeguards into the robot to prevent it from pushing too hard or doing anything to harm the patient.”

I think to myself, didn't Walt say in an audio interview that his controllers are capable of 'transmitting at 1000 kinemetic equations per second', which he says is an 'astronomical speed for motion control'. Hmmm. Maybe he should reach out to them, or vice versa... Just a thought.

Another website I found quite interesting is a Robotics blogspot, hosted by the founder of "How things work". The link is: http://roboticnation.blogspot.com/. My thought here is simply, "I wonder what his thoughts are on the possibility of an alliance between Innova, Coroware, Mesa and Microsoft", considering the pending attendance of them all at the upcoming expo in Pittsburgh.

A fairly recent article (April 14, 2006) from USA Today is titled, "The new breed of soldier: Robots with guns". In the first paragraph, it mentions the Robotic Systems Joint Project Office in Huntsville, Alabama - which is the same place that I remember Walt had said he was going to around May 10th, 2006. Wonder if there was any link between that visit and this project office? Again, just a thought. That link is: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/techinnovations/2006-04-13-robot-soldiers_x.htm

Last but not least, don't forget that there is pending news that should be coming in the near future. Again, in that same audio interview I keep referencing above, Walt states "We'll be shipping this controller up to Goddard around the first part of June". I guess we should all stay tuned...

Go Walt!!!!
