Is anyone familiar with the DMC?

My understanding is that the general public does not know the amount of events that occurred thus far. AMRN knows the total but does not know the breakdown (X from placebo, Y from the Vascepa group). DMC knows the total and the breakdown - am I correct?

If so,

1. How frequent does DMC update AMRN or is it pretty much real time?

2. What and whom does DMC comprise of - is it a huge company, are they volunteers, government employees? And how many of those actually know the breakdown?

3. If right now a few of the DMC members know that (for example) 520 events came from the placebo group and only 250 came from the V group, they are literally sitting on multi billion dollar information and how can we assure that corruption will not occur? By corruption, I mean leaking info to the highest bidder or even altering results? Not to sound conspiratorial, but billions of dollars are involved and (at least to a layman like myself) this is a very little known group/process.
