Any talk of a Saleen Supercar demonstrates confusion over the employee talent level of the old 2005 Saleen company and this 2015 Saleen Automotive company.

None of the 12 employees who built the Saleen S7 work for Saleen anymore. They have all moved on. Even that group in it's prime could not tackle the new emissions and safety requirements that were mandatory equipment beginning in 2006. No Saleen S7 ever built has air bags or crash test certifications. As far as bridging and combining a 1,000 HP V8 with an Electric to create a new hybrid Supercar? That is a $100M R&D event way beyond Saleen's capabilities.

Saleen does not have the financial resources to produce a new super car. The core Mustang business is not generating profits to fund the development of any new Supercar. It cost's millions and takes at least two years (best case scenario).
