Gosh, this is hilarious.

The subtitle of the cited article states that the MRX Extractor is "a Game-Changing, Industrial-Strength CO2 Extractor." Considering that CO2 (with a subscripted "2") is the chemical formula for carbon dioxide, one immediately is lead to believe that the contraption in the article will produce carbon dioxide.

However no... it is apparently some sort of automated distillation device intended to be used to produce various distillates of marijuana, such as semi-concentrated THC, CBx (meaning CBD?) or terpenes. Apparently, chemical extraction using distillation is huge game-changing news in the world of stoners even though it has been a standard industrial process for hundreds of years.

Then, we learn that the designer of this extractor, Paul Tomaso, has the overwhelmingly impressive credentials of having formerly worked on a component for the Tomahawk missile. Well hell... I've formerly written missile guidance software so I guess that makes me infinitely qualified to write industrial process automation software for pot distillation devices! ; )

Maybe this contraption does something useful, and maybe it is just a bunch of hoses and pipes and pressure vessels bolted together designed to impress potential investors who are too stoned to know how to ask pertinent questions. They didn't even include a simple block diagram to explain at a high level what the hell this contraption does and how it does it. Apparently, we are supposed to just trust that somehow, magic occurs, and it is a good thing.

They don't call it "dope" for nothing...
