I usually do an ETF initiated with TD Ameritrade from my bank and funds are available next day. However, the funds are not available for 3 days if I am trying to buy a penny stock. I called and asked why and they said holds are three days to buy a penny stock but next day for listed. Someone else suggested I move to ScottTrade.
