Once again Bitlocker is mentioned as requiring the tpm 1.2 for the premium and ultimate versions. and that it provides improved security.

The question which we will have to watch out is whether Seagate's more complete encryption becomes ordinary and standard before Bitlocker becomes ordinary and standard.

I am an optimist, but I suspect that a one time set up of the hard drive is going to be a lot less intimidating than having to play around with getting Vista right. I'll also admit to having no clear idea of how Bitlocker works with TPM works with Enterprise Key Management when things screw up.
