Of course if you are killed in the line of duty it's like automatic.

I think that's the case I heard about here locally. He had come up from Mexico and when he turned 18 he enlisted. He died in Iraq and automatically became a citizen. I think with an honorable discharge a person should be granted citizenship.

And I'm sure they're looking at any way they can boost enlistments.
