Need help with a Dell Inspiron Laptop. The screen goes black at a times and comes back again. The information on the display can be seen if you light a flashlight in front of it. I was told it could be an "inverter" since the screen works with AC current while the incoming power is DC current. Has anyone heard anything about this and how to solve it?

Dell solution: change the screen - cost $ 269.00 plus sales tax... for that money and a bit more, I get a new one, maybe even faster than the one I got now.
