Here are some of my thoughts and insights as to how this stock could play out. Keep in mind that the 1st Q report is now 3 weeks late and could be posted possible tomorrow, in addition to a long over due press release. Looking at some of the photos of the Chinese Auto shows and the SMI web sight there are definitely 2014 models being offered for sale in China. Lets look at some of the possibilities. Saleen could have gotten a sweetheart deal on Fords unsold inventory of the 2014 Mustangs. Saleen being an OEM car company could even be retrofitting the rear ends with IRS and other Saleen upgrades. If this is the case then a deal like this, would be a very profitable venture for both Ford and Saleen. Its also remotely possible that a rendering of the Raptor S 8 and production date may also be released. Dubbed the next American Super Car it would be a headliner and draw quite a bit of attention. But, as sad as I am to say this, it would be a better business decision to shift production overseas and announce its arrival "Now China has a Super Car the S8 Raptor" If Saleen can produce a made in China high quality world class sports car, the Chinese people would go ballistic. A made in America gasoline & electric powered car for US markets and a hydrogen fuel cell battery powered car for export and Chinese Markets. The low cost of Chinese labor combined with stringent quality control just might work. Some people on this board may be to young to have witnessed Japans transformation from the notorious made in Japan CRAPANESE to the highest quality products made. Whether we like it or not Chinese products are about to be, the new standard for quality. Either of these scenarios could cause SALEEN shares to go Stratospheric. Next post I will focus on some of the less optimistic scenarios that could play out.
