I don't think it's a stretch as much as it's you putting some very interesting pieces of a puzzle together. I believe that MDCN got the property. The only other alternative if that changed hands on 5/29 is the owner had a back-up buyer ready to swoop in if MDCN could not close, which is possible, but I'd lean towards the more probable answer which is its in MDCN hands.
