What "fact" are you referring to? Your post of what you read on the RB?
In my considerable experience in securities "back office" procedure, I have never witnessed nor heard of the scenario described on RB re: RJFS "asked all his clinets to seek another brokerage." When a self-clearing Broker-Dealer (like RJFS) terminates their assoc and lic w/ indep broker, the BD (as custodian) usually notifies broker's customers the broker is leaving and lists their options: stay (heavily favored--unless the ACCOUNT a prob or flat rev), ACAT or T&S (auth from cust to BD re: various modes of acct transfer).
