Does it really matter? The bleached waveguide modulator is merely a demonstration device. The real focus for commercialization, at this time, is the ridge waveguide modulator and the slot waveguide modulator. This is where the REAL money is.

I guess they determined that the bleached waveguide modulator was not going to be a revenue producing device for Lightwave Logic. Maybe the target market was not ready or did not need a bleached waveguide modulator at this time? Maybe the targeted partners told Lightwave Logic that the bleached waveguide modulators are nice but what we really need right NOW are ridge waveguide modulators and slot waveguide modulators. Thus, Lightwave is trying to hit the market's sweet spot. Yes, that PR contradicts what were told at the ASM but maybe there are reasons which have not been articulated.
