Any tips on upgrading my memory? I've got 256MB now, so should I double, triple, or go all the way to 1G?

Just wanting to speed up things when I run Photoshop and Dreamweaver at the same time. And I'm planning a trip to Circuit City this evening so I thought I could pick something up today.
