hi blue and player,
i am as aware as you of missing income and i have been as aggressive as you in suggesting that when material orders are not announced, no such orders are present. so this isn't a "stealth" argument.
but in the case of the 30,000 unit transaction or possible transaction, we are likely talking about a non-material event in the ordinary course of business.
when a large but non-material contract is discussed between a supplier and a customer, terms restricting announcements may exist. it isn't uncommon for contracts to stipulate publicity restrictions of various kinds so it would not surprise me if some of wave's customers require it about publicising a transaction. especially if they feel it is in their security interest.
in my opinion, a supplier like wave would be unlikely to treat publicity as a must-have item. but of course, solms probably wants to release news that gooses the price.
