Some enjoy buying 1,000,000 shares at 0001, in view of selling at 0002 (assuming transactions cost to be 10$) to make an 80$ profit. If one does it a few times before he holds the bag for good, he ends up doing it with someone else's money and keeping an accumulated profit.

A lot of work for few $$$ but some seem to enjoy such trading games.
