Although I'm much more optimistic than you are, one of your points did make me think of something that I would like brought up in the SHM.

Personally, I do have a small concern that GTE would be tempted to pursue other businesses rather than concentrate fully on the five divisions/businesses they already have.
I'm not saying that I expect them to get sidetracked, but I would like this issue to be brough up at the SHM and see what Huff and the rest have to say about it.
I think GTE is engaged in very good sectors and would like them to focus all their energies on these. Chasing after another technology and/or industry would not be a good move, IMHO.
