The funny thing here is, you have not denied that you are his son Mathew, and therefore it is only logical that you are.

You, Mathew, should seek legal advice and try to protect your family, because, I dont believe for a minute you will be shielded from the wrath of the investigating authorities.

The only way that I can see Johnny Boy, Carrie, and any other supporter getting away with this is if they have some kind of connection and conspiracy with the regional police, provincial police, etc...

I hope it is nice to know that even the shirt that you wear is not in your name, and was never earned but, stolen from hardworking people that were not given any consideration for their investments, which, since no certificates were issued, seems to be nothing but FRAUD.

You should be proud of your family name, tradition, heritage and general positive influence to all that come near you, only to find out later that there is more honor in sweat shop owners in Asia, than anyone related to the name "Simmonds".
