While I agree with you that the multiple applied by most analysts is too low, compare it to the AAPL multiple. Forward PE is shown as 13.1. This is for a company that has shown astonishing growth and ability to lead in every product category it enters.

IDCC is probably poised for growth that will dwarf AAPL's growth rate. But there is still an IF attached to it. The IF has become an if, but it is still there. A settlement with MMO will not only increase the E dramatically but will also increase the PE.

Knowing that fact, WM and company may be willing to give up too much to secure a deal (similar to a much-discussed international deal). I sincerely believe IDCC management has become shrewder over the years and will not yield to temptation. I hope I am right.
