I'm experienced several situations where I was stupid enough to buy a stock before a downtrend and had to average down. You are absolutely correct in your assertion that it's an excellent way to make saver money to correct an initial loss. However, I've also had the art of the average down backfire as I've ridden stocks down, down, down into the abyss. I've also seen many situations of intense, flatulant dumpage, and this might be one of the worst cases I've ever seen (at least in volume relative to average volume over the ticker's history). Just three days ago, there was every indication of strength as it bounced into the .002's and tickled .003. Then whoever has that massive pile of dilution notes started chugging laxatives as soon as it touched .002. It is indiscriminate, blatant, willful and brazen. But hey, it held the 52 week low of .0013 (saved by the bell?) today and volume would indicate that whoever was laxative chugging this week is most likely almost ready to get off the throne (IF the filings are correct). Or not. I don't care all that much, truth be told...I didn't sink all that much into LIBE and I got in fairly late, at .0022. I was eyeing a mid .003's escape, but I should've taken the .003 and got out. If it holds that .0013 line, I might think about an average down, but if it doesn't, there's no reason in the world why this can't go to .0001. It's hard for stocks to recover from this kind of dump. And it wouldn't be the first time I lost nearly everything on a penny stock. Anytime you buy an OTC stock you have to know that you can lose every last cent. Also, CN, sorry your post got deleted. I thought it was funny. I have been drunk and whiny today and I appreciated the slap. Know I saw it before it got deleted.
