If a Yankee had pulled that kind of stunt and Curt Schilling was on the mound, do you really think the result would have been the same?
It's true the game is a bit different today, but it ain't THAT different.
There was a statement made by Randy Johnson and Joe Torre that may as well have blared over the loudspeaker. And it was a very different statement than would have been made by virtually managers and virtually all pitchers in the game today.
I can tell you something very different would have happened if either of the two teams in last year's World Series had been involved.
