I'm sure you know more than I about this, but what I read recently is that the cutting of seed crystal is a precision operation. Perhaps the seeds they are getting in the pending sales transaction were cut from Mesa crystal, who knows?

GTAT won't be cutting seeds, they're getting out of the Sapphire manufacturing biz and focusing on equipment and solar.
