It takes many years, actually many decades, to define the profile of a new drug technology like dendritic cell cancer vaccines. This poster gives only an inkling of the information that will come out over the next year as these patients are followed. I think that we will see additional data on DCVax Direct at ASCO during the May 29th to June 2nd meeting.

Based upon his quote above, Mr. Smith is not telling us to look forward to ASCO 2015 as a watershed moment for DCVax Direct.

Quite the opposite.

He is managing expectations and steadying us for the long haul when it comes to waiting on Direct updates.

Remember that the term "additional data" could mean an update on an already publicized case study, a new case study, or an actual breakdown of data on a large number of patients similar to what we got for the Information Arm.

When he says "over the next year" Mr. Smith probably does not expect us to wait all the way until April 2016 to get a substantial amount of new game changing data on Direct.

But if he had to bet, I doubt Mr. Smith would wager on the moment of truth arriving at ASCO (at least this year).

I am not saying I agree or disagree with Mr. Smith, but merely that this is my objective interpretation of what he is suggesting about ASCO and Direct data releases.
