Hi Beach - what's actually happening is that the brokerages can no longer access any shares to short.

It's not that the shares are no longer in demand. I was told by Charles Schwab the stock is "no longer eligible to be shorted because they can't find any shares to borrow." When shares become available again, I'm sure they'll make them available to short. There just aren't any available.

Finally, the Nasdaq "hard to borrow" claim is actually true.
