shares and these are printed by the T A and they ALL have names on them .. usually individual names .. NOT BROKERS.

Au contraire,
when shares are purchased by an investor through a
brokerage to be held in Segregation (aka ITF) the TA will issue DTC a bulk cert to the house registered In Trust.
