Its simple - PAIV shares that were forward split 10 for one were supposed to be restricted. Obviously they were not and if the TA and brokers are forced to return them then they must go buy them back. IE they sold shares they were not supposed to.

GLKC was similar in that the stock reverse split 1 for 10 I think, The first day post split the shares should of opened around 7 cents based on previous days close. BUTTTTT peoples shares did not reverse in their acoounts and when they saw the PPS being about 10 times the previous day and the fact they still had all their shares they sold it down like crazy all the way to .001 if I recall correctly. WEll I didnt really know WTF what was going on and was vagualy aware of the above. I started buying at .0011 and chased it all the way to .002 buy up a Million shares and at one point I technically owned 80% of the O/S - I didnt realize it at the time of course. IN that case nothing much was said about it by I think the brokers and TAs bought up their inadvertant shorts - but so little was sold there was minimal destruction financially to anyone as I think most covered near where they sold.

I just happened to be one of the lucky ones

I think I sold about half by .003 and held the rest and sold at 10 cents. I made $40,000 US on a $1500 US buy
