This is exactly why this BS about who gets preferential attention from GTE IR is crapola. You have 2 people on this board that always claim to have the attention of IR, yet when anyone else 'us peeons' tries to send in an email, we never get a response.
I am tired of people posting half communications with Bleckman. I think it hurts the board and although we all want to know what's going on - if it were appropriate - GTE IR would send us a letter, or post something on the website. I must admit I like to know I am at an advantage by reading the board, but I don't know who to believe. For example, Mide, whom I do not know, but I do not "distrust" - posted an IM communication from Bleckman.
Bleckman stated that GTE does not have any bad news. That gave me a false sense of security that day. In the evening, a new PR of a pending lawsuit came out. Although we can easily defend this as saying "we (gte) didn't know " - it still offends me the same. I guess posting these comments like - GTE attorney on meeting with the SEC - its just disabling any credibility from anyone now...It's not that I don't want to believe, I just don't want to have wrong information?
Does anyone agree with this? Let's stop the preferential treatment and encourage the GTE IR dept to include all shareholders in ANY comments...perhaps a GTE blog- run by Mide - that way - we are not asking the company to dramatize everything, and if Rob has something to say, he say's it to us all, in an appropriate forum?
