I think what we are all not understanding here is that this technology for consumers is in its infancy. This is a broken record at this point but think about it like an emerging technology and not a proven technology. You can't compare this product to the current iphone, compare it to the first cell phone. This is the benchmark we should be using because while it is important to eventually make an iphone from the first cell phone, it was the first cell phone that allowed that development and evolution to happen. Being among the first into a market is an extremely useful thing, especially when the competition isn't on par with what you are about to offer. Yes, it isn't going to be the most sophisticated piece of hardware that we see in sci-fi movies, and it may be less reliable than a keyboard for input, but it is definitely a "necessary for the future" and almost unbelievable product we have the chance to invest in.
