This sounds like a typical Apple Marketing ploy to double the sales of the IPhone:

1) Leak a "news release" about an IPHONE having LQMT inside
2) Provide every gungho Apple customer with a hammer to conduct a LQMT detection procedure.
3) Destroy the IPhone in the process
4) Sell the loyal fan another Iphone whether or not it contains Liquidmetal.
5) Later, charge the Apple Bee for the hammer.
