wbmw, I've sayd "reliable". Did you hear about woman who made very significant burns by working with her P4 notebook on her laps? She sued manufacturer, but I don't recall who it was.

P4 is pain in a$$ for notebook makers. They need a lot of creativity to compromise between overheating, noise and power drain. This has nothing to do with reliability of the chip itself, obviously.

Centrino is so much better. But for affordable $1500 you can't get better than 1.3 Ghz unless you compromise on manufacturer and features. That makes Athlon looks much better. Many customers will spend hours in the shop deciding between 1.3 Ghz $1500 centrino and 1.6 Ghz $2500 centrino and will finally walk out with $1400 1.67 Ghz Athlon-M.
