Couldbetter, I never heard AMRN execs them "talk up" interim. They have been consistently conservative . What they have said is the trial is tracking as expected - that is all.

I think you're getting confused with all the speculative posts on the board about R-It results, the chances it being stopped for efficacy / safety etc.

I'm in the camp that believes results will be terrific. I also believe Amarin has come to the same conclusion but HAS NOT GONE PUBLIC with its conclusion - they came as close as they can on the last CC, without crossing the line. They see events, the public does not - by now they can see trends, model the effects of diverging arms and see what event numbers that would produce - then see where they are today. And they can benchmark to JELIS cohort to rationalize. It is not difficult to build a probability model if you have events numbers - but its still only a model and not actual data - nonetheless a model with a confidence factor.

the move last september to declare they are moving forward with R-I regardless of FDA Anchor decision was pivotal - it wasn't released for the sake of the FDA . The PR was done for you and the rest of Amarin investors ... it was saying; "we have confidence"
