Digesting this will answer clearly your query:

Previously acknowledged:LT DMA for Golden Cross takes time.

I did say this:

Suffice it to say it WILL COME
By it's sheer definition that it is a 200 day moving average answers the question.

However with a volatile stock to wait will cost one more IMHO in terms of higher purchase cost basis. That's why I use a myriad of technical indicators to buttress taking a position earlier based mainly on my digestion of what the markets are saying and why I believe differently based on my assessment of fundamentals.

Examples of this relate to stock opinions with the much used barchart.com and even stockcharts.com where I disregarded truly bearish ratings and bought positions really early that were my two biggest winners ANIK and OMER which are more violatile than NWBO simply due to much smaller shares outstanding (16 and 34 mln respectively).IF I had waited it would have cost me easily another 20G+'s. It all relates to the security in question and of course one's relative comfort and confidence levels and surely not for most.

Note: Given the letdowns experienced with NWBO in 2014 most of us resorted to modifying a lot of our usual practices.

Happy to say that ALL of the above has transpired as envisioned: Hard and fast rules apply mostly to really LIQUID stocks. Even technical analysis can be somewhat of an art form!

Shrs then were in the hi $5's or if one is like me (a Maverick I added more in the low 5's based on my sense of confidence!).To each his own.

Importantly the formula is based on a ONE WEEK vs daily chart for Golden Cross so it appeared earlier than the daily chart that most look at.Just go the stockcharts.com and do the sharpcharts and play with it (daily vs one week) and it should be apparent.

BTW: It is healthy to disregard, ignore all those naysayers that are on my lengthy ignore list. Just take a look at those over the last two+ months!
