Thanks for the link. Haven't had a chance to read in detail, but this patent contains a lot of info on subjects I am familiar with.

I see this patent was filed in June 2014, 3 months after the joint JDA with Schott was announced. I'll bet Schott was intimately involved with the submission of this patent. And for sure they are working on materials that would be covered by this patent. (Schott may even already have patents that would be relevant to the "display medium". When I have time I will search Schott's patent portfolio regarding glass that contains upconverting phosphors.)

P.S. Earlier in my career, I worked on development of phosphors used in color TV's (box sets) and also electroluminescent phosphors that were being developed for use in flat panel displays (technology that has been superseded by other materials).
