I believe it is a breakout based on technicals. A look at the chart recently indicated the makings of a breakout above the $6.80 resistance area. The golden cross the other day (50DMA crossing over the 200DMA) was another indicator. Of course, the quiet and steady accumulation over the past month is what made that chart what it is, but the people looking for technical confirmation got it today when the stock opened at $6.80 and went up from there. We came back down and tested the $6.80 area mid-morning, now slowly climbing back up after a shake of the tree.

The shorts got a good glimpse of what is to come this morning.

At least that is my $.02 for today.
