You actually bring up some valid points. In terms of sophistication, it probably won't be as sophisticated as Emotiv's device right out the gate. It does have less states and sensors so that is true. The benefit here is the size, price, and look of the device. It's like comparing an old fashioned computer to a gameboy. Sure, the computer could play much better games, but the gameboy was portable, battery operated, and socially available just about anywhere.
