One of today's military cotract awards:
Raytheon Systems Co., El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $7,996,471 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The objective of this effort is to develop Lightweight, Low-Power Density Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology for the DARPA Integrated Sensor is Structure program. The AESA to be developed is dual band (UHF and X-Band) and bonded to the flexible hull material of the airship. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. At this time, $2,500,000 has been obligated. Negotiations were complete April 2006. Work will be complete April 2008. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y., is the contracting activity (FA8750-06-C-0048).
They don't name the airship, as they usually do in these contracts...hmmmm
