OK, OK, I'll take the last word then.

I'll stand by my quickly thought out example. If someone can afford to stay in a large house, I see no reason why they shouldn't. That's their call. They know more than anyone the price of heating, A/C'ing, etc for it, whatever system they use.

I'm sitting in my passive solar heated wing of the house (added extension) with the wood stove (blazing away with wood from the property), reducing me to a T-shirt while its subzero outside. I say this to explain that I'm with the program, all for both reducing prices and staying green where possible. However, everything is relative, just as all politics are local. My own personal choice would not be to upgrade the rest of the house with further insulation, or solar or anything else due to my age. The next generation, hell who knows where they want to live. So its not feasible for me to upgrade. I suppose for those far away, I should explain that our electricity here is TVA, hydro-electric and some local nuke, so we have some of the cheapest electrics in the country, and also get natural gas.
