...couple that with the fact that XXII has left the CEO job vacant for an inordinate amount of time...as if they were "waiting" for someone...

...there are certainly enough qualified candidates in the tobacco industry to have been able to have made and offer and filled the post.

...other important points about the Des...he's British Tobacco (besides the licensing with XXII), BT has a comfortable relationship with CNTC and works with BT. Bt is China's biggest foreign tobacco importer. China is a creature of habit and comfort. It coincidentally (?) all ties into one neat package pointing to Des. It also explains the long time delay for filling the post and announcing it... Des, yet to announce where he was going, had a long "silence" period as to what his plans were ...

IMHO...a very likely candidate.

ps...also a HUGE plus for BT to have one of its former top executives (from same corporate culture) in the chicken coop...esp if acquisition were to be considered.
