Paul McWilliams will question S. Sprague about whether there is any Wave connection with Chromebook. The conference call is scheduled on June 24, the day of my birthday.

And I swear to God! I am not the member who asked Mr. McWilliams the following question.

Member Q&A - WAVX Interview Rescheduled 3:57 PM -- 6/16/11

Q) You mentioned earlier this week that you were scheduled to talk with Wave Systems (WAVX) CEO Steven Sprague later in the week. Have you guys connected yet? Can you tell me if the inclusion of the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) in the new Samsung Chromebook suggests we should expect an announcement from WAVX that it has finally struck gold?

A) The WAVX investor relations company contacted me following that post and asked to reschedule the conference call to June 24. That wasn't a very good date for me, but I rearranged my schedule to accommodate the request. While my schedule accelerates from busy to insane during the five weeks following the June 24, I'll do my best to get a report out within one week of the conference call.

I first took the news that Samsung included the TPM module from Infineon in its new Chromebook as being potentially good news for WAVX. However, since then I've learned that Infineon ships its chip with its own software - not WAVX software. Based on what I've been told, this is also the case for the TPMs Infineon ships to the traditional notebook PC market. I believe Infineon is the primary source for TPMs at Hewlett-Packard (HPQ), as well as some other notebook manufacturers. In addition to this, I've yet to find any data to suggest WAVX is compatible with the Google (GOOG) Chrome operating system. Please note all I've done on this so far is run basic searches on the WAVX Web site - I will look forward to asking Steven Sprague about this when we talk next week.
