I rarely post on the economy, the Fed or the Stock Market. I like to conceal that part of my ignorance. Here goes.
The Bulls and The Bears are favorite topics of investing specialist. I use, what I see, as a more apt term. Starlings.
We've all seen huge flocks of starlings flying along. For no apparent reason, in unison, they turn in a different direction.
The Market does the same thing. It can move hundreds od points one day, or series o days, then move hundreds of points the other way--on no news.
IMO, it is likely being manipulated by the very wealthy. My guess is that vast amounts f money are made from those moves. In both directions.
Retail suckers--Oh, I meant investors are awash in that sea. IMO, the Stock Market is a license to steal for the very wealthy. Stock Market Reform should be an integral part of truly leveling the playing field.
