Just back from Moffitt with a 1 year clean bill of health thank you Jesus! Asi I shared my hospital is the leading hospital for head and neck cancers and a lot of research including immunotherapy drugs are used and tested there, with that being said I asked my Oncologist if he was familiar with these and if he felt knowledgeable and comfortable explaining his thoughts and the Drs at Moffitt and of course he was very interested in sharing, so here we go.
The immu space was an exciting place a few years back and is crowded now and where they think it's major impact is in Melanoma the discouraging/disappointment has been for them is the toxicity issue as the system revs up the healthy organs get very lethal dose of toxicity that cause damage and even death. The monies that have been brought in to the big pharma from the few companies that have got approval for the immu's has given them the power to try them in a lot of indications as we have seen lately and he made it very clear that everyone thinks they will be the cure for cancer and but that is not the truth and that radiation and chemotherapy will be the standard with surgery and the immu's will help extend life in most cases and of ourse I think we all see that everyday and is a point of most discussions the extension of life.
