Dang! Please pardon my Texas online twang but today was impressive. There have been some equally interesting days lately.

I think we've hit bottom and are now beginning to solidify things somewhat. Is it in anticipation of forthcoming guidance noting the last quarter's results? No way to tell as all three MLPs moved higher today---convincingly, I should add.

That said, I'm glad I added units fairly recently in ALDW, sold a few in CVRR to raise money for a different play outside of the energy sector, and added demonstrably to my already solid positions in NTI, the last of the three.

Speaking in generalities, people don't realize these MLPs can be as exciting as any group of specialty stocks. Moving a half dollar or a dollar or even more as was today's case? When you hold a few thousand units of a stock, tell me that isn't going to feel really good!

Sure, it takes a lot more reading and study to make out well in the refining industry but so what? The payoff is not only in dollars, it's in the satisfaction that comes of facing your worst fears as an investor and showing the guts to take a stand and put your money where your mind thinks it belongs and will do you the most good.

As I often say, I find myself as uncomfortable as any when plowing cash into something Wall Street appears to be shunning. But I've got to be true to myself. After all, it is my money, isn't it?

So, like others here, I make moves in the hopes of once again proving I'm either an idiot for being so damned stubborn!---or I will be vindicated. Truth be told, I can take the heat either way. I am in this for the income and capital appreciation. But it's also about proving to myself that despite my trepidation, I refuse to yield to fear for I know well that fear is the worst of enemies. And since that fear will be mine every time, that makes me my own worst enemy.

Today, then, stands out as a particularly tasty moment that has Wall Street in retreat and is leaving me feel pretty darned good. If we should slide tomorrow, I'll still have had my day and it will be marked as one of deserved pride.

My prediction is things will continue to improve over the next couple of weeks in anticipation of forthcoming guidance which will detail payouts to be handed out to the loyal and faithful.

Any other believers here?
