Who could not like Joe Torre? Heck he even gets his way with George, which is no small accomplishment. ;o)
After Torre was announced with Prostate surgery he got a standing ovation at Fenway and stated it was the most touching moment of his career. He had his team out celebrating the Red Sox championship. He is the kind of guy you want for a role model for your kids.
I may have a strong dislike for the Yankees, but Joe Torre is a class gentleman.
As for the Sox, amazing isn't it? No matter who is on the team the Fenway Magic always brings them out of a funk. They looked horrible in the last road trip. Hopefully they take the homestand and make something good happen in the Bronx.
I will be very interested to see how Beckett fares, I am sure he won't be adored by Yankee fans and he has been shelled the last couple starts. I hope he isn't hurt and I hope his competitive juices pull him together.
The Yankees have been rolling as well. It should be another good series.
