Yup: "The delays occurred Jan. 2, 2014, and Jan. 3, 2014, as Southwest experienced a malfunctioning of its crew scheduling system".

Wouldn't have happened if it had ACQUIRED a company (and its innovative "Crew Scheduling" SOFTWARE) like this one:

And there are one or two PRIVATELY-HELD companies with even BETTER "crew scheduling software".

QUESTION: When will Southwest acquire one of them?

The clock is still ticking ... as Southwest continues to lose at least 1% of its share value every other day.
