It's a damned shame you know ...

That Southwest doesn't use a portion of its growing PILE of raw cash and short-term investments to ACQUIRE a company such as the one in the following link. The 'synergies' are readily apparent:

The only problem is that such a company (Sabre) has already been ACQUIRED ... by mighty Boeing Aerospace.

And in the meanwhile, Southwest's PPS appears to be experiencing a downward retrenchment of sorts. It's lost almost 9% of its value during the last 3 weeks and has punched beneath the psychologically important $40 price line for heaven's sake!

That loss in share value could have been spent to ACQUIRE some other 'synergistic' company like Sabre ... or maybe even better than Sabre.

But WHO?
